Nearpod
Use Nearpod to add interactive features like polls, field trips, and quizzes to lectures and courses. Nearpod helps support learner engagement and can be used to test knowledge.
Learners are encouraged to download the free Nearpod application to their iPads during orientation.
Accessing Nearpod
1st time logging in:
- Visit https://nearpod.com/login/
- Sign up using your Jefferson email address.
- Once signed up, you can use the free account or request institutional access by contacting EdTech.Support@lists.jefferson.edu
Once you create a Nearpod account, access Nearpod directly from Canvas. Choose Nearpod from the left-hand side menu to access Nearpod within your Canvas course. If not already visible, enable the Nearpod menu item for your course by going to Settings > Navigation and then drag the Nearpod menu item into the top "enabled" section of the page. Be sure to click Save at the bottom of the page to save the new navigation setting.
