A FREE mini-conference and dinner focused on future-oriented interdisciplinary conversations in design and engineering featuring keynote speaker and Jefferson alum, Nathan VanHook, Vice President of Design for Adidas Basketball

Your in-person attendance is encouraged, but there is also an option for virtual attendance for portions of the event.

WHO: This event is open to current and prospective graduate students, upper-level undergraduate students, Jefferson alums, and professionals.

Join colleagues across all School of Design and Engineering disciplines to share in a collective passion for the future of design and engineering. Learn about topics that bring us together and make new connections!

This semester's event kicks off with a presentation by Nathan VanHook, Vice President of Design for Adidas Basketball and Jefferson alum. Attendees will then enjoy an opportunity to grow their network via intimate roundtable discussions over dinner. The event culminates in a series of short presentations from current graduate students representing all School of Design and Engineering graduate disciplines.

About our Keynote Speaker: Nathan VanHook is a 2003 graduate of the esteemed Industrial Design program of Philadelphia University (now Thomas Jefferson University). He currently resides in Los Angeles and leads Adidas Basketball as the Vice President of Design. He started his career teaching 8th grade Art and Design, and shortly after was a wetsuit designer and then Art Director of Body Glove, before joining Nike in 2008. At Nike, he created award winning footwear designs, collaborated with brand and entertainment icons, led design teams to create industry leading products for the Olympics and World Cup, and reset Nike's outdoor brand, ACG. Following this, he went to luxury outdoor brand Moncler in Milan to reestablish their footwear business with great acclaim while having an amazing cultural experience with his two daughters, wife, and dog Auggie. He has shown his personal artwork throughout the world and is an avid Uno Player.
